OPEN TO 5TH - 8TH GRADERS
Students will visit the shelter once a month to play with the younger residents through games and planned arts and crafts activities. Younger residents look forward to these visits to interact and make positive connections with older youth. This gives our 5TH AND 6TH graders a foundation in mentoring younger children.

The Family Shelter is located in Waukegan where residents are housed as a family, on a temporary basis, as permanent housing is arranged.
Students will meet in the Oasis immediately after school. Students will be served a light snack as we travel to the PADS Family Shelter. The program ends at 5:45 and students will be dropped off at home immediately following the activity (around 6:30).
