The GJHP offers programs to aid the social development of our young people by providing fun and safe activities throughout the school year. Read below to get a quick overview. 

THE OASIS: The Oasis is our space/office where young people can engage in recreational activities with the program directors and friends during their lunch recess and after-school.

FRIDAY NIGHTS @ THE OASIS: One Friday a month the Oasis is open for extended hours where we provide young people with a recreational activity to do as a community. In the past we have offered movies screenings, tie-dye workshops, and drawing lessons.

DAYS OFF!: Along with our partnership with GPD’s Teen Scene, the GJHP takes advantage of Central School’s days off.  In the past we have offered trips to indoor amusement parks, rock climbing gyms, and sports outings.

In addition to all this, the GJHP also has annual community events planned by our amazing parent board and volunteers. Halloween Hoopla, the 6th Grade Dance, and taken part in Glencoe’s Pumpkin Day are just a few.
