Big Buddies

Disclaimer: Information regarding virtual book buddies coming soon!!!
Due to high interest in the Book Buddies Program and restrictions of space, we are only able to accept 10 Little Buddies and 10 Big Buddies for each session. For this reason, all buddies must apply with the intention of attending all 8 sessions and new this year, Big Buddy applicants will also have to submit to filling out an application that supports their interest of being a Big Buddy and peer mentor.  Please have your students take their time and fill out the application thoughtfully. Their responses will help determine who is accepted into the program.
Individuals selected for the Book Buddies program will be contacted by February 19th.
All other individuals will be placed on a waiting list. Upon getting accepted into the program, a $25 non-refundable fee will be issued.
Questions or concerns about the Book Buddies program should be directed to Josh Miller at, or call 847-835-7623.

The Glencoe Junior High Project (GJHP) is a parent-led, non-profit organization that has sought to engage Glencoe middle school students into the community since 1973. In order to carry out our mission of fostering socially aware, civic-minded and community-oriented individuals, we offer Glencoe 5th-8th grade students opportunities to volunteer in their community, attend social activities and events, perform on stage, as well as access to a youth drop-in center in Glencoe's Central School.
