The Eighth Grade Project is a unique program that provides an opportunity for 8th graders to be heavily involved in all creative and technical aspects of producing a musical under the mentorship of Director Samara Harand. This year, students will produce Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr., culminating in a live performance for the community.

Registration for the 8th Grade Project is limited to allow all cast members to have featured roles in the show and also provide more hands-on opportunities on the production side. Casting and creative/production roles will be determined by Samara Harand during the rehearsal process.
Weekly conflicts are allowed. All 8th graders interested in cast, creative team and crew are encouraged to participate. Space is limited so register early! *Performance dates are subject to District 35 approval.* Contact Samara with questions!

The Little Mermaid Jr. is packed with numerous featured roles and amazing songs like Under the Sea, She's in Love, Poor Unfortunate Souls, Part of Your World, Les Poissons & more!
Written to flow between land and sea, Disney's The Little Mermaid Jr. provides plenty of opportunities to bring these locations to life through creative movement and configurations. The fantasy of being underwater means the cast & crew can let their imaginations run wild.
