Rock of Ages takes you back to the time of big bands, big egos, and even bigger hair! It’s the mid-to-late 1980s in Hollywood, where Hairspray and Rock Music flow freely at one of the Sunset Strip’s last legendary venues. But the rock ‘n’ roll fairy tale is about to end when German developers sweep into town with plans to turn the famous Sunset Strip into just another strip mall. Can our friends save the Strip before it’s too late? Only the music of Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar and more hold the answer!

about the gjhp musical
The GJHP Musical is a no-cut show open to Glencoe 6th-8th graders for both the Cast and Crew. This is one of the largest productions in the area, with a professional creative team providing an experience like those at New Trier High School, including exciting dances, awesome harmonies, great costumes and live band. Misner will be transformed with a huge set, lights and sound.

The Crew is a critical part of the GJHP Musical. Members are responsible for behind-the-scenes elements like running lights and sound, managing props, and changing set pieces during the show. Being part of the Crew is an excellent way to get backstage experience on a big show! Find out more about the Crew HERE.
